Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the city.
Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to begin their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).
Why Split the Party?
With an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.
This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem out of place, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the group understands precisely where to head next after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his own means, entering the secret base, striking the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.
Casimir then settled his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each member has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, desires revenge.
- Kattigan knows Timmony and advises that it is a hostile location.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- However, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the party reach areas they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are known criminals.
- The warrior and Wicander betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the family.
This leaves them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in quest for Casimir.
